Upcoming shows, Juno Nomination, etc.
February 06, 2009
So, it sure feels like forever since I've played a 90-minute set and, in fact, it has been quite some time! I can't remember, honestly, without looking at a calendar when the last "fell-set" show was of mine. Nonetheless, I am more excited than I have ever been about the year to come. This is going to be a great 300+ days for me before the end of 2009! We've booked many shows already, have many tentative bookings and I know that several shows are still yet to be booked!! I am stoked!! From one end of the country to another... I LOVE CANADA!!
I'm about to embark on a 4 day trip to Alberta for a few acoustic shows in Lloydminster and Drayton Valley and then the following weekend sees me playing a FULL BAND, FULL SET show at the Cascades Casino in Langley, BC! My hometown!
By the way, I received some very exciting news this week that my album, "Thankful", has been nominated for a Juno! For anyone not familiar with Juno's, it is Canada's version of the Grammy's. This a great honor to have my name on that list. It has been there once before, two years ago for "Big Wheel" but this year I have an incredible feeling. A congrats goes out to Mitch, Dean, Mike and all who were a part of this record and got it to this level. If you are a CARAS member then please vote for me!
I have to go as my flight is now about to take off and the flight attendant (never call them stewardesses- they don't like that much) has told me with eyes as sharp as Ginsu knives to turn off my phone… so I will!
Thank you, once again for your love and support in my career. I hope to see you all, and your friends, and your families soon!
Bye…. for now!
